Many of us gardeners and farmers sometimes do not wear gloves or protect our hands from the many food growing tasks in our gardens. And even when we do, after washing up we need to use a good moisturizer. When the plants come into flower or have set their new leaves, I begin gathering and making infused oils. Later in the fall, I make a batch of this salve from a recipe to specifically nourish hard-working, dry hands. For those of us who go barefoot, it works on feet too! For great results, make it a gratitude practice for all that your gardening hands do every day—gently massage the salve into skin before and after gardening. Store in a cool place, and ENJOY.
