October Questions

Is it okay if I take inspiration from innocent babies?

Why do the very things that passionately move you, get lost in the cobwebbed space of our minds?
What is the meaning of “being certain”, and how is this accomplished?
If I continue to draw figures, who are doing yoga and qigong, will my body benefit from this drawing practice?
I wish we had recorded this little artist in action, as she percolated like a tea-kettle and squealed with delight each time her crayon made a mark.
A couple of times a week, I have the chance to take a break from my art-studio and/or garden work-places and have a good cup of coffee at Coco’s place (owned and operated by her parents, French and Alisa).
It’s quite a bit more than a privilege for me to say that Coco is my friend. It makes me a bit wiggly and teary eyed to write that here. But it’s true, she is my friend.
Here’s a little sharing given to me as an answer to the unanswerable, from a dearheart friend, who is too far away. I’ve posted it here before, and again now in remberance of my first-time meetings with these people, big and small that stir my questioning mind and fill my heart with grateful love.
I believe it’s written by Wendell Berry…
“It may be that when we no longer know what to do
we have come to our real work,

and that when we no longer know which way to go
we have come to our real journey.

The mind that is not baffled is not employed.

The impeded stream is the one that sings.”

P.S. You’re invited to an O’k CSAe Pie Social, on Friday, November 12th, more info in a while.
